I ordered a pair from Born Shoes thinking the leather would be nice and soft, because, you know, that was kind of the whole point. But right out of the box, they felt surprisingly stiff, and after a short walk they were already rubbing the top of my foot. Totally fine, just exactly what you want from new shoes, obviously.
Maybe they loosen up eventually, but for the price, I’m not really interested in gently suffering my way through a break-in period. I’m trying to stay calm about it, but I’m disappointed and don’t think I’ll be ordering again.

I bought a pair from bornshoes.com thinking they’d be easy everyday shoes, but the sole support is basically missing. I took a short walk and my feet were already hurting, which made me wonder if these companies quietly count on us not noticing until it’s too late to return them.
They look decent enough, but comfort is the whole point for me. Underfoot they feel flat and kind of cheap, like all the effort went into the outside appearance and not what actually matters. I wouldn’t buy them again.

The shoes themselves were fine, so no real complaints there. But dealing with customer service was frustrating. I emailed about doing a return, waited days for a reply, and then they still didn’t actually answer what I asked. I had to message again and basically explain the same thing all over just to get basic information. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but it definitely felt like more hassle than it should’ve been.

I really wanted to like these shoes, but like I said, they’re just not comfy. After about an hour my feet were already hurting, and the sole feels way too hard. The back also rubbed my heel bad. For the price, I expected a lot more comfort. Like I said, I wanted them to work out, but I wouldn’t buy them again.

They look nice and all, but for the price I just expected a bit more. The quality doesn’t really feel like it matches what I paid. Maybe I’m missing something, but they didn’t really impress me...

I thought these would go with a lot. Nope. They only really work with one outfit. Too bulky for casual looks, not dressy enough for nicer stuff. Wish I hadn’t spent so much

I placed my order a while ago and feel kind of trapped at this point. Shipping is taking forever, and I still haven’t gotten any real update. I just keep checking and waiting with no idea what’s going on.

I ordered my usual size, expecting them to fit normally, but they felt almost a full size too big. My heel kept slipping every time I walked, and the whole fit just felt off. It was frustrating because they looked like exactly what I wanted, but once I tried them on it felt like a total bait and switch.

They’re not bad shoes, and I can see them being fine for some people, but for what I paid, I expected better materials or a more premium feel. I’ve bought similar pairs elsewhere that felt just as good, if not better, for less money.
What made it more frustrating was seeing discounts pop up shortly after I bought them. That just confirmed my original feeling that I overpaid. I probably wouldn’t order again unless the prices came down quite a bit.

I like these shoes overall, but they definitely needed some breaking in. The first few wears were a little rough on my feet, but they’re feeling better now

I requested a refund and didn’t expect it to drag on for weeks. I’m still waiting, and at this point it just feels really frustrating and not like good customer service. For the time and stress involved, it definitely doesn’t feel worth it.

I wanted to like these because they look nice, and at first I was thinking, okay, maybe these will be my everyday shoes. But then it rained, and wow, the grip just wasn’t there. I found myself walking way more carefully than usual, like, please don’t let me slip in front of everyone. They’re fine on dry ground, but on wet sidewalks they feel too slippery for me. i don’t think they’re safe enough for regular rainy-day wear

I really wanted to love these because they’re cute, but the arch support just isn’t there. After wearing them for a few hours, my feet started to hurt, so I definitely wouldn’t pick these for an all-day walking situation. Also, the way they arrived made it feel like they weren’t handled very carefully, the box was banged up and the shoes looked like they’d been tossed around a bit. They look nice, but overall I’m a little disappointed.

I really wanted to like Born Shoes because they seem well-made, and some of them do look comfortable. But at the same time, a lot of the styles just feel outdated to me. Some pairs have a nice simple look, while others come across way too bulky and not very current. The colors are mostly kind of dull too, though I guess that can be practical. I expected the shoes to look a bit more modern based on the website, so I’m a little torn.

I tried to do an exchange and got nowhere. The weird part is, it felt like something that should’ve been simple, but it turned into a hassle so fast. After that experience, I don’t see myself ordering from here again.

I keep ordering the same size, but it fits differently every single time. One item is fine, the next is too tight, then another is weirdly loose. It’s frustrating, and the copy-paste canned apologies from customer service don’t really help when the sizing problem keeps happening

I really liked these shoes at first. They fit well, felt comfortable, and I could wear them all day without thinking about it. But after a few months, the sole on one shoe started coming loose and the leather scuffed up faster than I expected. I kept telling myself to be patient and give them a chance, but i shouldn’t have to baby a pair of shoes this much for the price. They’re not completely ruined and I can still wear them for now, but I definitely expected better durability. 3 stars.
